About the Factsheet

The aim of this factsheet is to explain to EU exporters of products protected by EU geographical indications (GIs), the opportunities offered by the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) as regards such protection in Japan.

Since the factsheet release, more GI certified products have been covered by the Agreement.

Latest updates are available on the European Commission website and the GI database.

With a complete list on the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries website.
